Profile

I am a native of San Diego California and most recently returned home after being away for seventeen years. I built and developed a 70 acre subdivision in Farmington New Mexico and I am looking to continue being involved in any facet of the real estate industry as that has been my emphasis most of my adult life, however, I am open to whatever opportunity that life may offer me!

I am a father of two adult children a grandfather for the second time! I am an avid golfer, skier, and musician and consider family the most important asset in my life. Experience

FOUR SEASONS VENTURES, LLC - Present

Recently completed the renovation of the Lahaina Harbor in Maui. I was hired to oversee and manage the entire renovation of this historical harbor park. Lahaina Restoration Foundation had this project approved by the county of Maui over five years ago and finally secured the funding and we completed the project a few months ago. Betsill Brother, Construction was the lead contractor with whom I worked with together with the Lahaina Restoration Foundation during this project. Recently completed a few remodels. One in Pacific Beach California and three on the island of Maui. We were fortunate to have sold them quickly and for a nice profit! FOUR SEASONS ESTATES - FARMINGTON NEW MEXICO 1998 - 2014 I purchased 70 raw acres in 1998 that was zoned commercial/industrial and had the zoning changed to RMA1 which is a residential zone allowing for single family residences. Four Seasons Estates is a 225 entry level home subdivision located at the West end of Farmington New Mexico. We finished building our last home in 2014 culminating a 17 year experience. I also owned and operated two used car dealerships known as Four Seasons Auto Group.

FIESTA GRILL AND LAS MARGARITAS RESTAURANTS 1992 1997 Owned and operated a small chain of Mexican restaurants in the Los Angeles area known as Fiesta Grill. We had two “Robertos” type taco shops located in Culver City and Marina del Rey and a third large scale full service restaurant downtown Los Angeles. As a family venture we also opened Las Margaritas (ask me about the name) in Honolulu, Hawaii on Waikiki Beach 1983-1089.

DEVELOPMENT MANAGER THE KOLL COMPANY - 1987 - 1991 The Koll Company hired me to assist them in developing a 100 acre industrial park that was located in Tijuana Mexico. I am fluent in Spanish and they had entered into a joint venture with a Mexican development company known as GUTSA and had a need for a bilingual manager. I was responsible for all aspects of the development from the coordination of construction to the marketing and leasing of the industrial buildings. DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - POSADAS DE MEXICO 1985 - 1987 Posadas de Mexico is the largest hotel owner/operator/developer of hotels in Latin America and they had recently been given the rights to develop Hampton Inn’s in Southern California. I was hired by them to assist in locating, purchasing and develop this new hotel concept introduced by Holiday Inns of America. We built two properties, one in Aliso Viejo California and the second one in Buena Park California near Knotts Berry Farm. Their activities came to a close due to the economic problems and the major devaluation of the Peso during this period.

MERRILL LYNCH COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE 1980 - 1985 Became a real estate broker with Merrill Lynch Commercial Real Estate during the beginning of the development boom in San Diego. My primary responsibility was the leasing of the Columbia Center located downtown San Diego that was built by “Papa” Doug Manchester, however, I was soon asked to cultivate business in Mexico and so I traveled extensively throughout Mexico developing relationships and introducing companies to the opportunities in the US market.

LEASING AGENT - GOPHER - ROOKIE - MANCHESTER ENTERPRISES 1975 - 1980

I was hired straight out of college by “Papa” Doug to be his leasing agent for the La Jolla Bank and Trust Building in La Jolla California. I was his “go to guy” in almost every part of his business and personal life. I helped (mostly learned) in the development of the Torrey Pines Business and Research Park in Torrey Pines and later the development of the Columbia Center downtown San Diego. My experience here was invaluable as Doug was and is an incredible business icon in San Diego. Education
