HARBOR ELECTRONICS, INC, TEMPE, AZ 2002-2018

EVERETT CHARLES TECHNOLOGIES (CIRCUITS), TEMPE, AZ 1997-2002

Senior PCB Designer Skill:

Cadence Allegro PCB and PADS PCB

High density PCB design layouts that includes Power, Digital, Analog and RF layouts for customer like Intel, Microchip, SMSC, IBM, Global Foundries, On Semi, Cirrus Logic, Texas Instruments, NXP, Western Digital, Amkor and more.

Provide real time advice and decisions, technical in nature and cost estimates as needed to the project managers. Interface with Mechanical engineers, Suppliers, Component Engineering and Project team members as needed to develop cost effective high-quality design.

Participate in meetings with Customers, and Owners to review the scope of work and provide value engineering ideas. Work with customers to make sure PCB layout meets PCB design requirements.

Designed complex multilayer Printed Circuit Boards for testing platforms and controllers used in the verification of custom integrated circuits. High speed digital routing, 0.4 mm pitch large BGA designs with high density interconnection 40+ layers, multilayer stacked blind-via/micro-via used throughout and following strict EMC/EMI guidelines, differential pairs, DDR memory routing with center strobe and mask routing, multiple power plane domain trace routing, and multiple buss tuned length routing.

Design PCB layouts and analyze schematics with the electrical engineering team. Designs PCB's used in the testing of Semiconductors for Burn-IN, Wafer, Evaluation, Bench and Final Test. Many of boards are for multi-gigabit PCI Express, DDR interface, SAS/SATA applications.

Understand and develop with the engineering team on material selection, impedance calculations, high speed design, cross talk limits, differential pairs, PCB stack-ups, PCB via structures, etc. during the design phase, and generate and perform reviews on the artwork and drawings once the design is ready for fabrication and assembly.

Experience with all phases of PCB design: Perform all the PCB layout design activities including schematic review, part library creation, component placement, trace routing, technical data package generation and Gerber generation. Create, modify, and maintain part libraries based on component datasheets and drawings and maintain Design Rule Check (DRC) based on the engineers' requirements/guidelines and DFM/DFT rules by using Allegro High-Speed Constraint Manager.

Layout digital, mixed signal and analog PC boards with controlled impedance high speed differential, AC, DC, RF, Analog trace routing, power/ground connections, plot generation, creation of pin list, input files, etc. for various levels of design.

Complete schematic and placement layout of PCB designs using Mentor Graphics PADS and Cadence Allegro PCB layout tools. (v16.6,17.2)

Generate final documentation for manufacturing and customer which will include Gerber Files, Fabrication drawings, Assembly drawings, production of PCB designs (ODB pin lists, creating BOM’s, fabrication deliverables per detailed company and industry standards and other design files.

Strong knowledge in office tools such as Excel, Word, etc.

Using Excel to develop script and formulas tools for PADS PCB and Allegro PCB.

Experience using a schematic/netlist driven CAD layout process and write script with Excel formulas to check new designs.

Trained new employees from Singapore and England.
