Education

University of California, Santa Cruz – Santa Cruz, CA

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering

Graduation Date: June 2018

Relevant Coursework:

Analog Electronics, RF Design, PCB Design, Intro to MEMS, Logic Design, Optical Electronic, Energy Conversion and Control, Computer Systems and C Programming, Assembly Language, Communication systems, Feedback Control Systems.

Project

Senior Design Project (Jan. 2018 - June 2018)

Responsible for PCB design in a five members team project

Designed and built an autonomous, off-grid small scale integrated water treatment system

Designed a mixed-signal circuit board for the electrical system and fabricated at Bay Area Circuit boardhouse

Populated the components on the PCB, then test and debug the electrical components

Analyzed and minimized the effects of EMI between the components

MEMS Spatial Light Modulator Project (April 2017 - July 2017)

Designed a spatial light modulator for wavefront shaping, with a 10x10 array of segmented actuators, fabricated using the PolyMUMPs process

Major design criteria requirements include having a stroke of 1um, an actuation voltage less than 250volts, minimized surface topography, and maximized surface reflectivity in the IR spectrum

Constructed a 3-D model by using MEMS Pro

AM Radio Frequency Receiver (Jan. 2017 - Mar. 2017)

Designed a AM radio receiver and populated the components on a printed circuit board (PCB)

Used oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzer to analyze the signal and noise on the PCB

Analyzed the difference between LC tank oscillator and crystal oscillator
