Career Details

I have dual US and British nationality, I have an extensive twenty five year background in Computerized Maintenance Management system implementation, integrated systems implementation and maintenance engineering in more than five industries. The solutions I have implemented are MPAC and EMPAC from Indus International, Maximo from IBM, MP2 from Datastream, and the PM and MM modules from SAP. I have twenty two years experience in the upstream and downstream sectors of the oil/energy business, with nine being in refining. My main focus has been at the plant level with improvement in business processes, including the implementation of planned maintenance and reliability centered maintenance programs and planning and scheduling. I have extensive experience with data construction, cleansing and harmonization. I have constructed database applications with graphical drag and drop hierarchy views for the construction of Functional Location and Equipment hierarchies. Managed data construction and cleansing projects for SAP PM and large projects for Material Master Data cleansing. I have also worked with PIDX and UNSPSC standards organizations to define data standards. I also have extensive experience with Procure to pay processes and E-Procurement. As Data management consultant led construction of SAP PM equipment and functional location data for the El Paso refinery.

Facilitated meetings with refinery senior maintenance management to define functional location and equipment hierarchy. Built data mapping process to map data from Avantis system to SAP. Constructed database and graphical hierarchy tool for data construction.

Accenture LLP For Occidental Petroleum

As EAM consultant consulted with client and assisted with business processes and constructed functional specifications for SAP S4 HANA implementation. Personally, integrated with client personnel to obtain trust factor for the team utilizing oil and gas background. Data Management for Cheniere Energy Maximo system, asset, PM and Document data under construction. Built SQL database for data construction and management for the Sabine Pass and Corpus Christie facilities.

November 2013-May 2013 Marathon Petroleum Galveston Bay Refinery

The Galveston Bay refinery is one of the largest and most complex refineries within the USA. Assisting the business with implementation of SAP PM and MM modules. Acting in a consulting role for preparation of data for the PM and MM modules. Involved with the definition and construction of the Functional Location structure and process. Met with senior business leaders to define functional location structure to meet business requirements. Acting in a consulting role for transition of MM and PM module data and configuration.

Sept 2009 –November 2013 ConocoPhillips Mid Con Business Unit Midland Texas

Project lead for re-implementation of SAP ECC 6.0 PM module. Responsible for initial gap analysis and vision for future state. Constructed project plan with timeline cost and resource requirements based on future business requirements. Presented project plan with benefits to senior management to obtain project funding. Devised and compiled all master data standards and documentation, compiled standards for equipment criticality and residency with the SAP PM module. Presented to senior management recommendations for centralized data management organization, and compiled the requirements to implement.

Constructed a Microsoft SQL database for field data gathering and cleansing, created data mapping from database to Winshuttle for loading of data into SAP. Made recommendations for RFID for asset management and created project requirements for implementation.

2007 – 2009 ConocoPhillips Alatex Upstream Operations

Assisted the Alatex Upper Gulf Coast Maintenance and Reliability group, with a maintenance and reliability improvement project. Wrote and compiled a two year process improvement plan. This project involves implementation of the SAP version 6.0 Plant Maintenance module, with construction of all master data, built and documented data standards for equipment master data, and constructed a database application to emulate the SAP equipment hierarchical graphic display for the construction of the equipment and Functional Location database.

2004 – 2007 CMMS Principal Consultant/Project Manager

M&H Energy Services Houston, TX

As CMMS consultant provided consulting services to clients in regard to system implementations, business improvement processes and data construction and data management. Managed a turn key SAP PM and MM implementation project for Marathon EG LNG in Equatorial Guinea. Compiled the functional business blueprint and constructed all business processes to meet EG LNG requirements. Constructed data model and data standards, and supervised all data construction for SAP master data including Functional Location, Equipment, Material Master, BOM, and PM Task lists. Traveled to Equatorial Guinea, to assist with roll out of the system and training to a multi-national workforce.

Compiled white paper for clients for SAP Material Master Data construction and for Maintenance Philosophy for Amerada Hess. Compiled proposals for upcoming SAP implementations, for projects for Exxon Mobil, and Marathon. Worked in consulting role for BP Trinidad as technical expert, and Maximo upgrade for BP North America.

2003 - 2004 SAP Consultant ChevronPhillips Chemical

Consultant for SAP exploitation project for ChevronPhillips Chemical Co, This project was specifically a rationalization and cleanup of MRO SAP material master data. In this role determined strategy and project business requirements. Assisted with the selection of prospective vendors, conducted vendor interviews and participated in the final selection. Constructed the project plan and facilitated workshops to present strategy and define requirements of stakeholders. Extracted SAP data from seven tables and constructed a database for analysis and management of the SAP data. Developed the criteria for the ongoing maintenance, and future state SAP Material Master Catalog. Also responsible for facilitating regular project status meetings, and management of the selected vendor in regard to project deliverables.

2002 – 2003 SAP Maintenance Management Specialist

Tyson Foods Inc

As Maintenance Management specialist led the SAP Plant Maintenance system implementation for Tyson Foods. This included construction of the functional business blueprint, all data collection, implementation of the management operating system, and advanced maintenance practices. I worked in a lead role, with external consultants to construct the project plan to rollout SAP PM CMMS to one hundred and thirty four plants globally. This project placed a great emphasis on equipment reliability, resulting in eleven million dollars in increased production capacity in a single plant.

2001- 2002 SAP Technical Consultant

Conoco Inc, Houston, Texas

I have extensive experience with SAP Material Master and E-Catalog Data. I created the process to consolidate and cleanse four-legacy system's data to one instance of SAP during the North America SAP downstream implementation.

I have Experience with data mapping processes for material Master Data to and from SAP, and Contributed to the process, for creation of global SAP data standards

As a team member with Conoco’s E-procurement project, I evaluated and ultimately recommended Requisite Emerge and Bugseye applications. Responsible for configuration of catalog management tools, (Requisite Technology Emerge and Bugseye applications) Buy tool application (SAP Enterprise Buyer 3.0) in various scenarios. Other responsibilities include catalog content data standards, data mapping, and loading of catalogs to Requisite Emerge staging and Bugseye production. I am familiar with XCBL and Open Catalog Interface. Recently worked with SAP to pilot Requisite Emerge bundled with EBP, on product first customer shipment. Continuously worked with the marketplace (Traderanger) to define data standards and schema for the petrochemical industry. Team member with PIDIX to define standards for complex services. Familiarity with other data standards, include UNSPSC, RUS, and PIDIX.
