PROJECT WORK DETAILS:
Name of the Project Work : heat treatment of magnesium alloy (AZ91D)
Project role: Team Leader
Description of the Project : Magnesium alloys usually have desirable properties including high chemical stability, easy processing and manufacturing, and also lightweight. Magnesium alloys weigh about 70% of aluminum alloy weight and 30% of iron and steel weight. Magnesium AZ91D cast alloy is a high-purity alloy that has excellent corrosion resistance, excellent castabililty and good strength. It is the most commonly used magnesium die casting alloy. Aluminum (Al) and zinc (Zn) are the main constituting alloying elements. In the present study Mg alloy AZ91D was heat treated at different quenching mediums to investigate the effect of heat treatment on micro structure and hardness. Interestingly, reduction of secondary phase was observed due to heat treatment. Hardness has been decreased for all the cooling mediums due to stress revealing and modified microstructure.
Name of the Project Work : The role of feed water heaters and effect of heat rate in 120 MW thermal power plant

Description of the Project: The project we analysed the role of feed water heaters that would have a satisfactory thermal performance in 120MW thermal power plant in kothagudem thermal power station at paloncha. Here, the performance of the feed water heaters is analysed by finding the terminal temperature difference (TTD) Drain cooler approach(DCA) and temperature rise of the heaters. Impact of by passing the feed water heaters optimizing the cleaning of feed water heaters, reason for failure of feed water heaters, investigations for effective design of feed water heaters cycle performance Impacts are analyzed in this project.

Description of the Project
Hip replacement is a surgical procedure in which the hip joint is replaced by a prosthetic implant, that is, a hip prosthesis. The model was designed using pro-e wildlife 5.0 and analysis of the model was carried out in ansys.
