My role as concierge is to provide guests with information about the city of Chicago, to promote and market attractions, and to take care of specific guest requests.

Volunteer – Chicago Feminist Film Festival (March 2017, March 2018)

Canvasser – Human Rights Campaign (May 2016- July 2016)

I spent several months working for the Human Rights Campaign as a street canvasser, signing up new members and accepting donations for the campaign. In my time with HRC, I learned how to approach customers and advise donations.

Usher/Concessions Worker – Cinemark Sugarhouse (June 2015 - August 2015)

I spent the summer of 2015 working in my local movie theater, assisting in day-to-day operation by selling, serving food and directing customers to their theaters.

Television Production Intern – Del Mar TV (August 2012 – January 2013)

For a semester in my junior year of high school, I worked as an intern at my local public access television station. I had the responsibility of converting submitted DVD’s into a format that could be broadcast. I also edited short informative public service announcements on Final Cut 7.

Volunteer Day Care Counselor – Kids Korps (June 2012)

I served as a counselor to a group of children in the summer between my sophomore and junior years of high school. We supervised educational activities and field trips, and engaged in positive social interactions.

Education:

Columbia College Chicago, Chicago, IL (2014 – 2018)

GPA – 3.2

I achieved a Bachelors of Arts in Cinema Arts and Science with a concentration in Screenwriting. In my time at Columbia College Chicago I refined my writing skills as well as my knowledge of filmic and visual culture. I wrote three feature length screenplays, as well as many short scripts during this time.

The Grauer School, Encinitas, CA (2010 – 2014)

GPA – 3.5

(Many courses taken for ‘honors’, which required additional work)

Idyllwild Arts Academy, Idyllwild, CA (July 2012 – August 2012)

Three week directing and writing intensive class. I wrote a six-page script that was green-lit for production. I then shot and directed the project with professional actors. The finished film screened for a live audience.
