Bhilai Steel Plant-Bhilai(2010): The Bhilai Steel Plant, located in Bhilai, in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh, is India's first and main producer of steel rails, as well as a major producer of wide steel plates and other steel products. The plant also produces and markets various chemical by-products from its coke ovens and coal chemical plant. It was set up with the help of the USSR in 1955.

Bharat Aluminium Co. Ltd.(2011): Bharat Aluminium Company Ltd. (BALCO) is an Indian aluminium company. It was in the public sector until 2001, when it was taken over by Vedanta Resources. It was incorporated in 1965 as a Public Sector Undertaking It is the first public sector enterprise in India which started producing aluminium in 1974. Till 2001, BALCO was a public sector enterprise owned 100% by Government of India. In 2001, GoI divested 51% equity and management control in favour of Sterlite Industries India Limited.

PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN

MINOR PROJECT :-Analysis of Thermocouple (7th Semester) :- The purpose of the experiment was to monitor the temperature variation in some wire by connecting thermocouple at different ways like series or parallel.

MAJOR PROJECT :-Calculation of pressure drop in rectangular duct (8th Semester):- The purpose of this experiment was to monitor and calculate the pressure drop through a rectangular duct for varying flow rate and diameter. Pressure drop is found increase with increase flow rate.
