“Development of UART driver”
Description
:
The operating system portion of many device drivers will be almost same. The device specific portion varies from device to device. Serial communication over RS-232 is very useful for embedded development. It will be used as the primary channel in copying the code on to a target processor's flash, and to communicate data to the embedded application running on the target etc. In general a device driver provided by the operating system will be used by the application which transfers code on to target's flash and to communicate any data to the target's application minicom or similar software tool will be used which in-turn uses the device driver provided by the OS.
