Government Relations Manager:
Oversee the processing of all types of visas including employment visas, residence visas for employees and managers families as well as for entertainers and guest required visas.
Following the visas process in the immigration department & updating the required documents.
Monitor the renewal of permits and licenses including hotel trade license, chamber of commerce certificates of registration, civil defense certificates, immigration, labor establishment cards for the hotel, etc.
Process the procedures for employees new and renew residency (Medical Examination, Emirates ID, Food Handler, Change of status etc.)
Applying for employees permits at Ministry of Labor (Work Permit, Work Permit Approval, Mission Work Permit, New & Renew labor Card, Change Profession etc.)
Prepare & Submit monthly report with passports, visas, labors & food handlers inventory to Human resources manager as well for monthly expenses reports to the finance department.
Be up to date regarding any changes or amendments to the prevailing laws / rules / regulations, changes in forms / formats and other procedures.
Ensure that all relevant documents are submitted periodically to the immigration / labor office regarding cancelled / absconding employees in order to be deleted from the hotel’s sponsorship list
Ensure the departure and exit formalities for employees are completed after cancellation of visas

Update in the Police computer details of all in house guest that stays in our hotel
Ensures that the passport scanning is done correctly by Front Desk and Guest Relations staff, highlighting any mistakes to the Front Office Manager.
Checks and ensures that the total guest count in the police system corresponds with that in Opera PMS at all times. Differences can only be temporary, must be investigated, followed up and resolved immediately
Completes all filing of the documents in a neat and orderly manner
Maintains an up to date knowledge of hotel information and local services, including operating hours, promotions, events, attractions and any allied information to supply information respond to guest queries
