Project Experience
Chemotherapy Efficacy Monitor
● Worked in a team to design and develop an electrode array and acquisition circuit designed to monitor microvolt level membrane potential of cells in breast cancer tissue
● Performed tests to ensure proper device performance and optimized the design to enable measurements were within proper specifications, including techniques to minimize noise in the signals acquired
Quadruped Robot
● In a group of 4, designed and programmed an autonomous four legged walking robot
● Used Solidworks and 3D printing to create the chassis and legs for the robot
● Programmed the robot’s walking gait in C/C++ using an Arduino microcontroller to control servo motors
Micromouse Robot
● Built and programmed an autonomous maze solving robot for IEEE’s Micromouse competition
● Created custom infrared sensor array used for obstacle avoidance and wall sensing
● Configured hall-effect quadrature encoders used to track robot’s path
● Created a PID control algorithm used with encoder data to ensure stability in motion
