One of Egypt’s leading hypermarket chains, with a turnover of >$300M per year, 3000 employees and 15,000 clients per day.

Logistics and Supply Chain Manager

Initially hired as a consultant for a two years review project while working at the university. Provided advice that delivered drastic change to logistics, inventory, distribution, supplier relationships and marketing promotions, with radically improved performance recognised by a permanent role as a company supply chain expert, managing a team of eight.

Slashed inventory cost by 15%, a $400k saving, by radically altering stock levels and supplier delivery strategy. Analysed data using Oracle and JD Edwards and devised leading-edge system of optimised inventory levels.

Renegotiated supplier delivery agreements and ensured a ‘just in time’ schedule for perishable items that minimised wastage and storage costs and improved company cash-flow. Collaborated with procurement team to monitor supplier performance using KPIs against contractual obligations.

And I have another role during the project in MM module as a logistics manager to figure out all business needs and requirements.
