GitHub Battle Oct 2017

This web application takes the data from GitHub API and gives the details of repositories which are popular in the selected technologies. It also provides an option of a battle between two GitHub users based on their followers, stars, and repositories using the data from the API.

Responsibilities:

• Designed and developed a responsive application using React JS.

• Extracted the JSON data from the GitHub API.

Implementation of Page Rank Algorithm Mar 2017

This is the implementation of the Page Rank algorithm which was first used by Google for Wikipedia pages. In this implementation the dataset as taken from a Wikipedia corpus and the pages are arranged in the ascending order of their ranks based on their page ranks obtained.

Responsibilities:

• Successfully implemented the Algorithm using Hadoop Map Reduce and obtained correct results.

• Eliminated red links and faulty links in the data given.

• The entire project is implemented in Cloudera VM using Hadoop and Java. Technologies Used: Hadoop Map Reduce, Java.

Book Recommendation System May 2017

This system is developed to give book suggestions to the user based on his previous history. This is developed using data from a real time dataset obtained from Book Crossing website. The algorithms used for the implementation are ALS and collaborative filtering. The main purpose of this implementation is to give the user relevant suggestions and make the user experience better.

Responsibilities:

• Successfully implemented the ALS algorithm for the recommendation using PySpark.

• Got the recommendations for the user based on user similarities techniques in PySpark. Technologies Used: Python, Spark.

Dashboard for Daimler Automotive Corporation Apr 2017 This application is a dashboard to display the visualizations obtained from the data given by Daimler Trucks Corporation. The dashboard has filters to toggle and adjust the visualizations based on the requirements. The Visualizations on the truck history are implemented using D3 JS, Dimple JS and Tableau. The Dashboard was developed using JavaScript, JSP. Responsibilities:

• Designed and developed visualizations on the truck data using D3 JS and Dimple JS.

Online Tutoring System Nov 2016

This web-based application is a platform for the users to advertise their skills and hold classes so that the users who are interested in those skills would enrol in the classes. It also has a facility for the users in the same area to schedule meet ups. It allows the tutors to send email, schedule classes and cancel them. It is a responsive UI with cross browser compatibility. Responsibilities:

• Worked on the implementation of scheduling courses functionality and email functionality using Java, Spring and Angular JS, MySQL.

• Designed the UI of the application and implemented using HTML/CSS, BootStrap and Angular JS.

A web-based application which is used as the beta version for the research lab finder for the professors in UNCC. The main goal of this project to get the data about the available labs in the university and to display them. It is also helps the professors to look up the labs with the required facilities and book the slots for a time period. Responsibilities:

• Worked on MySQL queries to get the data on the labs available in UNCC.

• Used Apache Tomcat as the server to deploy the application.
