Specialized psychotherapy practice including assessment and treatment of child, adolescent and family
issues, offering formal attachment based parenting and family treatment, as well as addressing childhood trauma
and loss through developmental processes. Able to address foster and adoption issues and issues faced by
special needs children and their families including those on the autism spectrum. Able to provide school based
observation and positive behavioral planning and support, as well as social skills groups, parenting support

involved assessment and diagnostic evaluations of in coming clients as well as treatment of children and adults

SCOPE OF PRACTICE:
Therapeutic Approaches
Verbal and play therapies, with a clear leaning toward a blend of humanistic modalities, emphasizing the
use of insight oriented interventions. Attachment based parenting and family treatment, as well as dyadic
developmental psychotherapy are used. Cognitive Behavioral therapies and Dialectical Behavior strategies are
used when indicated as well as mindfulness, art and dramatic techniques.

Attachment and developmental issues, verbal and play therapies, child and family issues, foster and
adoptive issues, Cognitive Behavioral therapies, social pragmatics, EMDR, trauma, sex positive therapies, stress
management, and adjustment issues, as well as LGBTQ and alternative lifestyle issues.
Treatment Methods
All cases begin with an initial assessment, evaluation, and joint determination of treatment goals.
Methods involved include verbal psychotherapy and may also make use of play therapy, psychoeducation,
writing, homework assignments and interventions using mindfulness techniques.
