Related work: Working under Dr. Nicholas Honerkamp as an intern in the UT Chattanooga Archaeological Institute fall of 2017 through May 2018 as a Lab Technician. All of the work done in the archaeology lab was done in pursuit of helping a University of Tennessee student, Lindsey Cochran, carry out research for her dissertation focusing on plantation archaeology in low country Georgia. Following this internship I attended an Archaeological Field school in the summer of 2018 with the UTC Archaeology department as a Field Supervisor.

Responsible for overseeing the projects at hand, helping with artifact analysis and keeping an efficient pace of work.

Worked with the St. Simons Island Land Trust at the world renowned Cannon’s Point
Worked with National Parks Services on Ft. Frederica National Park doing public archaeology, informing the public about the reason behind excavations and introducing different technological methodologies used to find the anomalies which gave way to the locations chosen to dig at. 40 work hours from 5/30/18-6/6/18.
Learned the use of technologies such a total station to do phase 1 at a site to survey a grid in which will be used to then set points at various arbitrary coordinates
Learned the use of a Trimble, a data collecting hardware used in the field to plot points and coordinates which will then be uploaded into GIS computer program
Have taken a short course in ArcGIS computer programing and mapping software
