Employer: Desco Link Resources Limited, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos State.(January 2016 to Present) Position: Logistics Coordinator/ Field Service Engineer Desco Link is an oil and gas servicing firm focus on logistics, man power supply and portacabin accommodation.

• Designed and ran a process for sourcing operational vehicles and delivering to clients based on client’s specific expectations, also implemented a process for recruiting drivers who can provide cutting edge services.

• Developed a fleet management procedure where vehicles are monitored using tracking systems and drivers are trained to deliver industry leading services using the following tools- smartphone based navigation system, log journals, and implemented a process for routine vehicle maintenance/servicing.

Position: Electrical /Instrumentation Maintenance Engineer (Intern) Shell is the pioneer and leader of the oil and gas industry in Nigeria.

• As part of the Electrical Maintenance team, we carried out routine preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment within the terminal. I was involved in the 30,000 running hours gas turbine engine change-out which restored the power requirement of the terminal; we detached UV detectors stationed at an angle within the turbine package to prevent damage and disassembled turbine temperature probes within generator package to avoid damage. Also assisted in coupling of the new turbine engine and its ancillaries. Performed condition monitoring and troubleshooting of new engine, conducted daily job hazard analysis while ensuring the use of proper PPE.

• Installation and maintenance of infra-red and ultra-violet detectors in the various pump houses, Fault finding/ maintenance of enraft from the DCS (Distributed Control System) and PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems, Maintenance of temperature transducers in the various electric pump (Emulsion pump, Dehydration pump, Export pump), Periodic checks/ maintenance of cathodic rectifier (transformer), Standard maintenance on RMU (Ring Main Unit) connected to the transformer, Conducted dielectric breakdown test on transformer unit, Customary insulation resistance (IR) and polarization index (PI) test, Regular pockets check for Oil Temperature Indicator (OTI) and Winding Temperature Indicator (WTI), maintenance/replacement of level indicators of different fluids in the separator tank.

• Maintenance of Lightening Arrestors on Crude Storage Tanks, Maintenance of low voltage switches for pump heads (Normally Open/ Normally Closed Switches), Calibration of pipeline flow-meters (HELD) to give actual flow signal to the DCS, Checks on IGF (Induced Gas Flotation) system motors and rotors, Disassembled and re-greasing of pneumatic export valve due to response time-delay, Routine operative shut down tests on disposal water, emulsion and oil outlets valves of the various separator tanks, Maintenance and physical supervision of the Metering Skid during loading.
