My passion is my work!
Good home cooking and baking, ethnic& international repertoire as necessary and variety for remote cooking. Using health conscious ingredients to adapt styles for people’s preference.
I have spent years cooking in the southern Ocean NZ.
Ocean/boat work requires the ability to meet the needs of individuals and consider all the variables of timing, weather, movements and dietary needs. No job is ever the same, a lot of similarities with exploration/drilling remote camps. I try to maintain a philosophical outlook on life and I enjoy outdoor challenges. I live my work, adapt to different environments with interest in its surrounding and history.
I listen carefully to the standards and quality my employer wants me to achieve and the deliver according to these requirements.

WORK HISTORY
STONEY CREEK SHIPPING COMPANY – Vessel Claymore 11 2017 - 2018
Just completed in May 5 x Voyages to Pitcairn Island, delivering cargo. Cooking for 10 crew. Also 3 x rotations from Manereva Island (Lower Tahitian group) with passengers, each voyage from Tauranga. 50 day duration, approx. 30,000 miles of the Pacific Ocean in total. Always cooking well balanced nutritious meals as well as Stock control and ordering for 50 days.
OTAGO UNIVERSITY – Biology Department New Zealand. June 2016
Cooked for 40 pax, fourth year Biology Students at the Deep Cove lodge for eight days.
Very successful and well enjoyed.

Voluntarily worked on a Polynesian Vaka – Te Aro Tonga, earned place to crew the Vaka canoe and cook from Raratonga to Auckland NZ.
1995 – 2002 Business Owner/Operator of Bev’s Place, Dunedin, NZ.
Made all food, baking, homemade pies. Great clientele, enjoyable and successful. Lots of catering for crew at all Blacks v Scotland test at Carisbrook Dunedin NZ, Silver Fern test matches, weddings and business functions.
