Volunteer Haunter October 2013 - October 2017

I volunteered at a haunted trail for charity every year since 2013. Before the haunt season my responsibilities included clearing the new trail, building the scenes, and running lights and power. During the haunt season I am one of the haunters on the trail. A haunter scares the customers who come through. I was also Assistant Director for the final leg of the trail. My duties included training new haunters, handling last-minute issues, conducting trail safety inspections, and ensuring customer safety. All profits go to support the local volunteer fire department.

Library Volunteer June 2013 - August 2016

As a library volunteer my responsibilities included signing people up for the Summer Reading Club, logging any minutes the children had read, and handing out prizes when they reached certain goals. I also helped around the library as needed. This included designing posters and flyers, setting up displays, straightening the books, and putting up decorations.

Head of Stage Crew October 2015 - March 2018

I started working on stage crew my freshman year of high school. My first production was in October of 2015, and my last production was in March of 2018. I became Assistant Head of Stage Crew during my first year. During my Senior year I became Head of a ten-person crew, so my duties included organizing and directing stage crew, making sure the crew functioned efficiently, and repairing any broken props or set pieces. I also helped the cast with last-minute costume checks.

As a LINK Leader my responsibilities include assisting freshmen in navigating their new school to ensure they make it to class. Throughout the year we organize several meetings with the freshmen to ensure they have acclimated to the school, are doing well, and we provide advice and assistance with any issues they may have.

Server July 2018 – September 2018

As a server, my job included taking food orders, ringing them into the MICROS system, preparing the plates of food when they were cooked, and taking the food out to the customers. Throughout the duration of the customers’ meal, I would check on them, clear dishes, and provide refills. After the customers left, I would bus the table. I would take care of several tables at a time, usually about four or five tables. As well as taking care of tables, I answered the phone to take to-go orders, prepared to-go orders, rolled cutlery, and completed sidework. Sidework included stocking supplies, cleaning the tea and coffee urns, and cleaning the juice machines. I started working at a Cracker Barrel in York, PA, but later transferred to one in Huntsville, AL due to college.

My interests include space, aerospace engineering, and coding. I am always looking to learn as much as I can about space and aerospace engineering. I have taken engineering specific classes that were through Project Lead the Way at my high school. In my engineering capstone, I learned the coding language used for Arduino so that I could program the drowsy driving prevention device that I was inventing.
