OBJECTIVE
I am a trainer at heart. I believe the difference between good and great or bad or good employees lies in proper training and understanding the "whys". If the employee shows the will I can train the skill. I love teaching, seeing growth, and success from those I've helped. My goal is to find a position where I can utilize my skill set to teach others, at a company with growth, that I can retire with.

Bandanas Bar-B-Q, Ankeny, Iowa United States
10/2013 - 12/2015
I started my position with corporate ran restaurant. I was pursuing their corporate trainer position, but when the restaurant was sold to a franchisee, I was not ready to relocate to the St Louis area. So I stayed on with them as their general manager.
My Job Duties Included:
● Hiring, training, and scheduling, FOH and BOH staff
● Find and contract with local Vendors
● Consistently running high standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness
● Ordering and Inventory
● Catering--Finding the sales to prep setup and service The franchisee did not want to grow so there was no growth potential in the organization. In my short time there I was able to take a negative P & L and turn it into a positive. I'm more than doubled their catering sales taking them from $8k the previous year to $17.5 in 2014. Certified Restaurant Trainer
Burger King DBA SRM, BKC, MKMB, Des Moines, Iowa United States 12/1998 - 10/2013
I started a team member and once Graduating in 2001 I went into Shift Management. I went from shift to Assistant in 1 month and then took the 6 month Associate General Manager Training program. I completed that in 6 weeks. From there I was bounced around the Des Moines metro area "Fixing" stores. I would evaluate staff, cut out the weak links, bring in new talent, and enforce the systems, policies and procedures that were in place. This is where I found my passion for Training. I was certified by Burger King Corporate as a Restaurant Trainer. I hired and trained managers for the metro stores. I loved being able to take a person, give the knowledge they needed and guidance. Then see them flourish in their careers.
Additional Job Duties outside of the Restaurant:

● Training Follow-up at Managers home locations
