Step2 is a Plastic Roto Molder of Toys and Coolers

Maintain all production activities including, but not limited to processing, managing and training staff, and insuring quality using lean manufacturing procedures. Also responsible for Warehouse and Logistics.

Set-Up and processing of injection, compression, and transfer molding machines.

Initiated molding process sheet for set ups and job instruction books for operators.

Supervise, train, and disciple for up to 40 operators of these presses.

Facility produces thermoplastic automotive, appliance, and commercial plastics including finish lens covers.

Equipment includes 50 to 1,500 ton injection molding press.

Manage 30 production employees including set up, material handlers, and Q.C.

Independently responsible for the 3rd shift operation including production, processing, and quality.

Materials worked with include thermoplastic polypropylene, thermoset granulars, and phenolic.

Manage 40 production employees including set up, stock handlers, and Q.C.

Independently responsible for the 3rd shift operation.

Supervised up to 40 operators and maintain 30 thermo set and thermoplastic injection molding machines.

Set a record for highest productivity and maintained highest productivity for a shift while maintaining quality.

Promoted to day shift area supervisor after 1 year and made responsible for all three shifts.

1991 to 1993, Quality Supervisor, Jaco Manufacturing, Berea, OH

Facility produces plastic floats for gas tanks for Chrysler, GM, and Ford.

Equipment includes 50 to 200 ton vertical injection machines.

Materials worked with include polypropylene and other thermo plastic resins.

Time allocation was mostly spent on testing and charting due to the sensitive requirements of these parts.

Responsible for the quality of 30 horizontal injection presses.

This included, but was not limited to several different types of gauging and testing.

SPC charts were kept on all testing and computer generated test data was sent to customers.

1987 to 1990, Quality Supervisor/Manager, Metokote Corp, Lima, OH

Facility produces e-coat and powder coat for just about anything metal

Equipment includes 15 stage e-coat and various style powder coat systems.

Materials worked with include coating numerous types of ferris and non-ferris metals.

Time allocation was initially testing and promoted to quality supervisor and finally Quality Manger.

Promoted to Quality Manager of sister plant and solely responsible for attaining the Q-1 from Ford Motor Company.

This included all FMEA’s, Control Plans; DOE’s required to attain this certification.

Several aspects of chemical testing were involved in these processes.
