Protect Controls specializes in the manufacturing of custom power control buildings. The primary responsibility of my current position is to purchase any and all materials used to construct the control buildings. These items include but are not limited to the following; Carbon and Stainless Steel, transformers, HVAC systems, panel boards, wiring, cable, industrial furniture, insulation and Motor Control Centers. Additional responsibilities include; quality assurance, product compliance, vendor performance tracking and resolving non- conformances. I work closely with the Project Management, Sales and Engineering Departments to ensure that purchased items arrive on-time and are allocated correctly to meet production deadlines and ultimately the customer’s expectations. 2008-2014, Senior Buyer, TS Distributors, Inc.
TS Distributors, Inc. is a production facility as well as a distribution center. Over 50% of the suppliers used are located internationally. The imported materials are ordered by container load and must arrive prior to inventory falling below predetermined quantities. Responsibilities for this position include; monitoring vendor performance, tracking inventory levels, resolving discrepancies, negotiating supplier agreements, quality assurance and product compliance.
1996-2008, Operations Manager, Sundown Metals, Inc. Sundown Metals stored and processed steel coils direct from the mill. All traceability had to be maintained in the event it was requested prior to fabrication. It was my responsibility to route the raw materials from the mill via rail and/or trucking, coordinate storage with the production team, file the MTR’s, execute all orders for leveling/cut-to-length lines and arrange customer delivery at project completion. As the position evolved, additional responsibilities included, personnel scheduling, project management, quality system implementation, and product training.
