Magnetic resonance project (“lightweight cement”): developing designs to overcome extreme EMAT packaging obstacles; responsible for all FEA on all sections of this tool; completing machine drawings; managing machine shops/vendors; assembling and testing.
Project type: Design / prototype engineering.
Project size: I estimate the finished production tools were built to a maximum quantity of 100 to
300 tools (for use worldwide) at a cost of perhaps $200,000 per tool.
Acoustic geophone project (“dropshot”): the sole Mechanical Engineer on the team; designed static tool sections to meet all design requirements and rate the tool for 25ksi & 150 C.
Project type: Design / prototype engineering.
Project size: After 4 years, project neared completion but was canceled by the marketing department.
