Led the organization – including dealing with local issues of city-wide initiative. Reorganized office, established standardized filing system and updated computers. Planned and presided over meetings with city, state and local officials and public meetings with up to 500 in attendance. Coordinated the production of quarterly newsletters and monthly news briefs. Guided organization to State approval of 501c3 nonprofit status, which enabled SOAR to raise thousands of dollars each year.
COLUMBUS MARYVILLE CHILDREN’S RECEPTION CENTER 1996 – 2002
Managed volunteer recruiting, screening, selection, scheduling and motivation. Maintained communications with more than 150 volunteers, ensuring proper training and care at the center. Organized special events for the center.
KEELING FAMILY FOUNDATION 1987 – 2010
Coordinated annual fund-raising golf outing event, including scheduling, catering, raffle and other amenities. Handled the budget, increasing returns through donations from area businesses. Oversaw publicity, mailing of invitations and on-site activities. Established and guided committees, and directed volunteers on the day of the outing.
