PROJECT PROFILES

CAPITAL ONE (Wipro)

Project Summary:

Capital one bank is one of the 10 largest banks in US and ranked #145th in Fortune 500 list. The ETL data handling projects dealt by Wipro handles both commercial and retail data of Capital one. It Provides solution and stores data in desired storage place. The data is used for integration and analysis purpose for the growth of business. Currently the project accommodates both Abintio and Hadoop environment moving forward to Cloud.

The module is EDS Commercial having a team of 22 members playing the role of a Team member.

Roles and Responsibility:

The project works in DEVOPS model, hence our team handles both development and L3 activities.

Investigating technical and business problems related data and incidents.

Responding to and resolving problems within the scope.

Developing graphs, Scripts adhering to the requirements provided by the Client.

Adhering to the procedures for escalation, review and reporting and also take appropriate measures to avoid reoccurrence of problems.

Developing graphs for applying fixes to history data. Loading one time passer files from the source system.

VISA-GMBS (Infosys):

Project Summary:

GMBS is Global Member Billing Solutions developed and deployed by VISA in 2005. It is core billing system for all Visa regions including Visa Europe. The main role of GMBS system is process Visa Net transactions and some other apps. It generates Client Invoices, General Ledger Journals and Settlement Instructions. I was part of GMBS Module of a team of 15 members playing the role of Abinitio Analyst.

Roles and Responsibility:

My role involved Analysis of the stories provided and figure out the feasibility of it and the effect on data.

Investigating technical and business problems related data.

Responding to and resolving problems within the scope.

Adhering to the procedures for escalation, review and reporting and also take appropriate measures to avoid reoccurrence of problems.

O2 Telefonica(Tech Mahindra)

Telefónica UK Limited (trading as O2 – stylized as O2) is a telecommunications services provider in the United Kingdom, owned by the Spanish multinational Telefónica. The Project dealt by Tech Mahindra worked in agile model and developed according to the Stories provided by client side. Also the Sun goals project was part of it which was a reporting projects and was handles by me singularly. The team was a 5 membered team.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Scheduling, executing, monitoring, and reviewing O2 telephonica Extract

Investigating technical and business problems related data.

Responding to and resolving problems within the scope.

Adhering to the procedures for escalation, review and reporting and also take appropriate measures to avoid reoccurrence of problems.

Participating in root-cause analysis exercises with O2 telephonica UK Delivery managers to ensure problems are corrected appropriately and implementing proactive processes to prevent future occurrences.

GE Consumer Finance(Tech Mahindra):

Project Summary:

GE Consumer Finance is a leading provider of financial services to retailers, manufacturers, and consumers in over 35 countries around the world. GE issues, maintains and processes the credit card information for several clients like Wal-Mart (SAMS), JC Penney etc. It has different business verticals like Collections, Consumer, CDCI and Commercial. This project deals with development, support & enhancement for the various data warehouses verticals. The team had 23 members and maintained multiple databases as below:

Database Summary:

GE Consumer Finance is the largest Private Label Credit Provider in North America. GECF makes business critical decisions based on the data present in various DW which are presented to the users as various client specific Reports.

Data basically is gathered from across the enterprise on daily, weekly and monthly basis from variety of media. Data is processed through complex processing flow ETL process leveraging UNIX shell scripts, Oracle procedures, Ab initio and Autosys scheduling. There are about more than 300 Autosys jobs triggering various shell scripts in turn in the support of the project. From various sources like FDR, Genasys, Remittanceetc feed files are received for daily processing. Data is being loaded according to the business rules through the ETL process incorporated by Ab initio graphs and Extracts and Reports are generated from lastly for users.

Operational Responsibilities:

Scheduling, executing, and reviewing Data Warehouse Environment related jobs.

Investigating technical and business problems related to a Data Warehouse Environment.

Following-up and assisting in resolving technical and business problems that could reasonably relate to a Data Warehouse Environment.

Decommissioning warehouses and components of the Data Warehouse Environment.

Assisting with the prioritization and administration of tasks like problem tickets and user requests.

Providing appropriate updates to all relevant documentation.

Assisting user and client requirements and provide solution.

CDCI is the most important vertical of the GE Consumer Finance and all the client migrations from other warehouse and new clients got added to this warehouse.
