Nova Group, Inc., Hazelwood, MO Structural Designer July 1998 – PRESENT Hired as a Structural Draftsperson, responsible for drafting of structural documents for Walgreens and other national retail clients. My responsibilities increased over time and began to include field work, construction documentation QA review, project administrative support for project Architects/Engineers, and shop drawing review. Industry vertical expansion increased for Nova to include healthcare and industrial clients adding further complexity to my job roles. I then assumed responsibility for forensics, investigative work, and other field work in an unsupervised capacity due to my increased knowledge and trust as an experienced design veteran. I also helped implement workplace IT infrastructure. I am currently the Senior Structural Designer for Nova Group Inc. Soil Consultants Inc, St. Peters, MO Material and Soils Technician January 1998 - June 1998 Hired as an Engineering Field Technician responsible for field testing and project specification compliance. My main responsibility was field sampling and testing construction materials for various clients. Schleede Hampton Engineers, Royal Oak, MI Material and Soils Technician May 1997 - December 1997 Hired as an Engineering Field Technician responsible for in-depth field testing including asphalt density and compaction, soil density utilizing a nuclear density gauge, concrete slump, concrete air entrainment, cone density tests, concrete compressive tests, and project compliance specifications. I also conducted laboratory testing including plastic/liquid limit, direct shear, consolidations, aggregate specific gravity, gradations, unit weight, and concrete compressive tests.
