Highlights:

Digital Platform Senior Project Manager to deliver a Loyalty Rewards Program for Hannaford customers accessible via the Web or Mobile Phone that includes features and capabilities such as account registration, customer profile, couponing, loyalty rewards, and reporting of savings. Managed Web Client (Oracle) and MobileApp client (IBM) development, API development, and Reward Program launch to public.

MobileApp development on Mobile First Platform, a cloud-based solution running in IBM SoftLayer. API development (pass thru and orchestration APIs) using IBM Bluemix Cloud Gateway (API Connect, OpenWhisk, Message Hub) to expose APIs for front end consumers Web (Oracle), MobileApp (IBM) to access services for customer data (Metasource), customer communication preferences (Sales Force), manufacturer coupons (Quotient) and In-house Coupons (Copient). NextEra Energy-Nuclear – Seabrook NH, Feb 2012-November 2014

Highlights:

Relocated Nuclear Fleet Learning Management SAP application and databases from premise to cloud. NextEra became the first nuclear utility to upgrade to the cloud. Over a dozen interfaces redesigned to exchange data between the cloud and internal systems. Build out web-services, connectors, and data warehouse to support data calls.

Managed two-year project to build and deliver a new common nuclear desktop across the NextEra Nuclear fleet spanning 5 nuclear power plants in 4 states with over 6000 work stations deployed. Associates can now access common applications and shared data from any site to offer full portability. Applications and databases remediated or upgraded for new operating system. Applications packaged and delivered via Tivoli End Point Management (IBM) system to end user based on relevance of baseline applications.

L.L. Bean – Freeport Maine, June 2010- December 2011

L.L.Bean Inc. An industry leader in brand management, customer loyalty and marketing database systems. Served as a Senior Project Manager on a number of Infrastructure programs and projects.

Highlights:

Managed an extremely aggressive nine-month Enterprise Program to rollout Microsoft (MS) Windows-7 desktop operating system with MS Office 2010 suite to all 5000 workstations to replace XP platform. Project included organizational application rationalization (300 applications packaged and certified with Windows 7), company training, field deployment, support structure, and risk management with applications.

Managed Infrastructure projects to include: IE8 (Internet Explorer) enterprise rollout, firewall replacement projects, and Enterprise 2010 PCI (Payment Card Industry) compliance project to secure mitigation for all open findings across infrastructure platforms to receive record of compliance from PCI.

SUPERVALU-Boise, ID -2002-May, 2010

Senior IT Project Manager

SUPERVALU: Top retail grocery and pharmacy leader in the nation, with over 1600 stores nationwide to include Albertsons, Shaw’s, Acme, Jewel, Farm Fresh, Biggs, Cub foods, Shop n Save, Shoppers, Bristol Farms, Lucky, Osco, and Savon pharmacy. Held position as Senior Application Project Manager managing Infrastructure and Application Point of Sale (POS) projects and program; served as a department head for discipline.

Highlights:

Managed three-year project to implement global standardization of point of sale applications (POS) for individual retailer banners under the Supervalu umbrella. Converting banner POS platforms from IBM to NCR ACS platform to create a common point of sale across the organization. Over twenty months of development with dozens of large code releases to integrate platforms and applications to all hosts for pricing, store operations, and data trickling upstream accounting feeds. Managed rollout across the country of new hardware (self-checkout and checkout lanes) in conjunction with application cut-over.

Eighteen-month project to build a new “Fuel” solution that would convert 200 Albertson’s fuel stores across the country (includes fuel station and convenient store) from an ICL operating application to a Retalix application with new hardware footprint. All business operation applications integrated to hosts to support day to day operations of fuel centers.

Point of Sale (POS) deployment program spanning 2 years consisting of 8 projects to convert 1800 stores (Albertsons) to a common IBM POS hardware and operating system. Extensive vendor management, development, operational, and support teams. Managed heavy budget with reporting to CIO.

Delivered application development project to capture personal check data electronically for presentment to banking institutions along with check image capture directly in the POS lane with added security and data transfer via data pump, trickle, and MSQ architecture. First in the U.S. retail/grocery industry to implement ACH check data and image transfer/capture.

Manage a multi-phase 14 month project to provide store wide area network connectivity via both terrestrial and multi-media VSAT paths to over 1700 stores. Manage internal resources for application and routing summarization and numerous vendor teams for store implementations across the country.

SCIENTIFIC APPLICATIONS INTERNATIONAL (SAIC)-San Diego-1999-2002

Consultant-Infrastructure Project Manager

Project Manager for a consortium with SAIC, Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), Avaya Communications, and Pacific Bell to be the sole provider for all voice and data needs for the County of San Diego with a staff of over 20,000. This joint venture represented the first successful fully privatized IT outsourcing at a local Government level and reached national recognition. Individual role promoted to manage account and projects for all Public Safety initiatives.

Highlights

Managed design, cost, and implementation of telecommunications and data requirements projects within the design and construction of four new Sheriff Stations. Work with client, architect, and contractors to design and build switch, electrical, and data rooms, provide conduit paths, internal wiring requirements, external trenching, facilities expansion, and install phone switches, circuits, routers, and servers. Create network LAN, WAN design, vendor implementation scheduling and business training. Met all deadlines and budget for ribbon opening ceremonies.

Managed design and delivery of infrastructure network project for all data/voice communications of the largest weapons training facility on the West Coast for the FBI, Border Patrol, County Sheriff, and U.S. Marshalls. Iterations of budget, risk mitigation and change control, to include using inmate labor and state facilities as contingency plans to meet competing demands of multiple sponsors.
