Skills & Abilities
MANAGEMENT
I worked seven years as a Department Manager at Walmart. During those years I learned how to work with others from many different back grounds, as well as how to come together as a team to complete a common goal.
COMMUNICATION
I believe that communication plays a key role in both learning as well as teaching. When open communication is put as a first priority is allows for trust to be built between co-workers as well as employers and employees. Opening this line of communication is always one of my first things I like to when starting a new position.
LEADERSHIP
Leadership has always been something that has been important to me. Throughout my school career I was Captain of my High School Debate team as well as the President of the PTA Program while attending Bossier Parish Community College. However, I believe leadership is more than just a title or position but a desire to lead by both words and actions in all that we do.
VOLUNTEER WORK
Currently I volunteer with different ministries such as the youth and apologetics ministries within my church as well as run their evangelism and community out reach programs.
Experience
PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSISTANT SENIOR REHAB SOLUTIONS OCT 2015-CURRENT
In my three years as a therapist I have been working with geriatric patients who suffer from many different diseases that prevent them from being able to walk or have a functional life. I work with many different people from different disciplines within the medical community with one common focus which is to get our patient healthy again.
DEPARTMENT MANAGER WALMART JULY 2008 - FEB 2015
During my time at Walmart I was thankful for the number of people both employee and customer alike that I was able to interact with. It was at Walmart that I learned just how different be are, and that it takes different approaches when dealing with different people and personalities. A skill that has been a benefit to me throughout my career and life.
