Earned a Ph. D in cell biology and has post-doctoral experience at USC Keck School of Medicine in the area of signal transduction of receptors, protein kinases, and cAMP in neuroprotection and cancer chemoprevention. Obtained advanced experience in the areas of cell biology, molecular biology, cancer biology, biochemical, and imaging techniques to screen new molecules and drugs for potential therapeutic applications to cancer and neurological diseases. Received first and co-authorship of several publications. Has experience working independently and collaboratively across various disciplines. Gained over eight years of research experience while training students.
