Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Having wide-range of experience in quantity surveying with focus on cost and quantity estimates, preparation of payment certificates, final accounts and finalization of claims and variations work.

In Pre Contract

Preliminary Cost planning & Cost Estimation and procurement.

Cost plan management and commercial report preparations.

Preparation of documentation and carrying out tendering procedures.

Reviewing tender/bid documents, specifications & drawings, and implicate necessary design constraints or corrections, advising on value engineering etc.

Preparing the cost comparison statement report.

Preparation of bills of quantities for various Civil & MEP packages.

Preparing reports for the pre-qualification of vendors on financial as well as technical grounds.

Preparation of various reports like Vendor recommendation report, Vendor Pre-Qualification report, Tender reports etc.

Initial negotiation with vendors.

Preparing rate analysis with the floating enquiries to receive quotations for the materials & services.

Working closely with the line managers and Assistant cost managers in achieving the key deliverables on time.

Implementing the FIDIC conditions of Contract.

In Post Contract

Prepare quantity take- offs (from IFC and shop drawings) and Verify As-built measurements.

Assessment of the subcontractor’s progress quantity.

Subcontractors invoicing for various work packages. Prepare Subcontractor monthly Invoice/ Payment certificates / follow-up for approval to be finalized.

Prepare Client monthly Invoice/Payment certificates / follow-up consultants approval.

Prepare BOQ for additional and incidental works.

Prepare monthly progress reports. Sort out the effect of design changes on the project budget.

Assist in the compilation, calculation and issue of both monthly and periodic cost and value reconciliation and cash-flow reports, both actual and theoretical.

Assist the Project Manager in writing claims based on terms of references of contract conditions, scope of work, specifications and clauses.

Report directly to the Project Manager & Senior Contract Administrator and manage the overall contractual and commercial aspects of project.

In Claims / Variations

Investigating and gathering information to determine the commercial exposure to the claims and variations.

Submit Variation and Claim Notice and coordinate consultant’s review and approval process.

Conducts study shop & design drawings pertaining to change and claim of contract

Coordinate with the design team particularly in unknown design change issues.

Preparing claims through well-developed action plans and documenting necessary information in the claims system.

Liaising & following up with Engineer to resolve & finalize claim in appropriate and timely resolution.
