1.Trouble shoot dies to analyze problems and failures

2.Developing new tool and dies

3.Modifying the press tool and fixtures as per product development, process changes and customer requirement by understanding the practical problems.

4.Assemble and conduct the trail for press tool and other tools

5.Doing preventive maintenance of tools as per schedule, in house and vendor place.

6.Developing in house repair skill strain manpower in order to achieve good hand skills and retaining them within safe working practices and process.

7.Trains and directs the activities of subordinate workers assigned to the tool room

8.Die spare part planning and control

9.Propose and implement new tooling systems in order to improve machining process in terms of time and quality from time to time. Able to implement modification in tool for product improvement.

10.Operation of all type of conventional tool room m/c like lathe M/C,grinding M/C, milling M/C, drilling M/C,EDM M/C etc.

11.Making cost effective designs for press tool as per product development and costumer requirement.

12.Documentation related to press tool manufacturing and maintenance

13.Produce dies and tools in accordance to customers’ specification

14.Evaluates work load and determines priorities within the tool room.

15.Coordinates tool room matters with other sections and with designated supervisors as required

16. Maintains or supervises the maintenance of tool room records
