Ensured compliance with federal, state and local employment laws, including EEOC, ADA, FMLA, US DOT and unique local and state meal break and paid sick leave laws.

Purchased all business insurance including general and auto liability, property, health, workers compensation, Texas Non-subscriber and for Independent Contractors, occupational-accident, non-trucking liability, and physical damage.

Oversaw administration of employee health benefits and served as a fiduciary to the 401(k) plan

Reviewed all customer and vendor contracts.

Obtained $6.4 million in Compressed Natural Gas grants from the State of Texas.

Successfully defended an investigation by the US Department of Labor for alleged wage and hour violations. Settled a $100K claim for $13K to 23 employees.

Lobbied Michigan legislators to effectuate legislation to exempt out-of-state trucking companies from state domicile fees. Saved CFI $1M in proposed state fees

Led cross-functional teams to obtain ISO 9002 (9001-2000) certification.
