Summary

Professional competencies in human resources and account management and student services have been acquired over the last twenty years. Ensuring the safety and well-being of middle students on a daily basis has been rewarding and challenging given that this age-group is making a big transition along the continuum of their educational life. Human resources is very detailed oriented responsibility in this instance insuring that all benefits-health, insurance, various savings/investment concerns, and retirement to mention a few that have been handled handsomely. Accounting is more than just handling receipts and balancing the books. In this position, I had the responsibility for invoicing large deposits on a daily basis, handling vendor invoicing; and second in command regarding the management of properties.

Career Objective

The goal for my life long career is to acquire a middle management or higher level of financial responsibility for corporation, private sector, or educational facility. I am a qualified manger and administrator of individual and groups of people; am bondable and able to reconcile accounts and employees if required; and very much acquainted in the management and handling of properties and those whom occupy the properties.

2008 – Current: Beaufort County School District: H. E. McCracken – Program Manager

Student Services: Ensure the safety and well-being of approximately 1,200 middle school regular education and special education students from the time they are released from the bus terminal on school grounds; reconcile and confirm their attendance; provide direction and counseling as the occasion may arise; at the end of the day ensure their departure from school; and throughout their school day oversee the implementation of Positive Behavior Intervention. Currently at Bluffton High School will being Adm Asst to Three AP’s, I assisted the Bookkeeper with posting payments for over due fees, collecting fees, DataEntry into Munis,

( accounting software used by Beaufort County School District) along with posting fees in Destiney for Students outstanding book fees. Assisted with Auditing student invoices for errors and double posting and corrected double payments by crediting fees . Assisted Bookkeeper with reviewing statements looking for double payments. Collected cash for student ID’s on a daily basis and Posting students ID payments to there Powerschool Accounts and reconciling daily for correction. Posting fees,( Prom, Parking, Lunch, science, art or any school related fees ). Along with outstanding fees for Student books and reconciling onces the books found. Managed and maintain the Feed the Hungery Program be submitting Excel spreadsheet with number of student meals and cost. Managed and maintained Educators Handbook that tracks Special Education Students (SPED ) for SC State Department of Education to reimburse The Beaufort County School District with the use of Excel spreadsheet. I created the tracking system to track the repairs and distribution of 1151 HP Tablets for All students. This spreadsheet was very helpful at the End of School . All tablets accounted for except for one. This also required posting in Munis and Powerschool.

Beaufort County School District-Office Mgr., Bookkeeper, Adm. Asst.

Pritchardville Elementary with a student population of 531and 30 staff members, I was responsible for managing annual operating and purchasing budget in excess of $100,000. In addition, performed administrative assistant tasks at H. E. McCracken Middle school utilizing the Munis, Powerschool, and Excel software programs.

1993 – 2008 Benefits Administrator, AP and AR Clerk – The Club Group, Ltd., Hilton Head Island, S. C.

In total there were ten separate Gold course and Resort Properties, that entailed the accountabilities for the administration of all human resource operations at a resort management company of 300 employees. Properties included vacation rentals, time-share, commercial sites, and golf courses. Responsibilities were to manage all aspects of employee benefits, personnel records, workers compensation claims and files, unemployment claims, and accounts payable and receivables.

1992 – 1993 Administrative Assistant – Royal Gold and Tennis, Ltd., Hilton Head Island, S. C.

Responsibilities were for a very wide range of duties and fiscal undertakings for area Golf Course maintenance department, maintaining up-to-date associate files, preparing purchase orders, processing payment requests, updating irrigation and chemical records, completing employees schedules, payroll recaps, and balancing purchase orders with invoices, and coordinating deliveries supplies using Excels and Word software.

1990 – 1992 Human Resource Management Asst. – Royal Gold and Tennis

Utilizing Excel and Word Software, maintained and screened 247 employees records via computer, prepared new hire documentation, scheduling of vacation and various leave times, update of active and inactive employees, health and insurance claims, and billed credit union reports.

1988 – 1990 Receptionist and Administrative Assistant

Under the employ of Tempo Personnel Services located at Hilton Head Island, S. D., undertook the responsibilities for overseeing the daily operations of Plantation Interiors that include bookkeeping, filing, and maintaining its call center.
