Western Regional Manager. Responsible for marketing, operations, claim
and underwriting functions in an 11-state area. During the first two years, developed premium for commercial, personal and financial lines from a production base of $2 million to $14 million. Third year, production exceeded $30 million; inherited responsibility of a $300,000,000.00 book
of business.
Marketing Analyst. Responsible for financial evaluation and assistance in developing new marketing programs (lines included Reinsurance, Excess and Surplus, Aviation and Specialty).
4/75 – 12/77 Preferred Risk Mutual
Policy Service Manager. Responsible for general operations which included policy issuance, premium collections, Insurance Department coordination (50 states), assistance in product development and coordination of product activity in the field.
4/69 – 4/75 Financial Manager. Responsible for all corporate accounting functions, placement of short-term investments, administration of company budgets and preparation of all financial reports. While in this position, designed a cash management program yielding $100,000 annually, an automated accounting system which is still in operation today and a fully automated profit and loss report for the field marketing operations.
