III. PROJECT DETAILS:
Main Project: (M.Tech Project)
Project Title: Boundary Plotting and Object detection using non-contact sensors Under the guidance of Prof. Jagedeeshwaran R. of VIT University (SMBS). Project Details: The robot is equipped with a servo and sensor arrangement which has a 360 degree field of view and can detect any object with in a 4m radius. The robot can be used for small scale industrial applications where collision avoidance is required.
Other Projects: (B.Tech Project)
RFID interfacing circuit with AVR Microcontroller unit. Project Details: In this project, a RFID based wireless sensor network is designed which can be used for certain applications such as industrial employee authentication system as well as for controlling and monitoring of different processes of the industry. VI. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Paper Presentation:
Presented a paper titled ‘Collision avoidance and Boundary plotting using non-contact sensors for mobile robot applications’ in a National Conference on Trends and Innovation in Mechanical engineering-2015 and the paper has been published in IJAER, ISSN 0973-4562 Vol. 10, Issue No. 68 (2015) @ Research India publications.
Worked on a paper titled ‘Vibration based fault diagnosis study on a hydraulic brake system using fuzzy logic with histogram features’. Paper Details:
The requirement of fault diagnosis in the field of automobiles is growing higher day by day. There are many parts in automobiles that require a closer and effective observation. This research work was demonstrating a technique for the fault diagnosis in the hydraulic brake system. In this case vibration signal was used for condition monitoring and fault diagnosis. There are three main phases in this approach such as feature extraction, feature selection and feature classification. Feature extraction was done for the data sets using histogram representation of data and feature classification was done using Fuzzy classifier.
Qualified GATE -2013, GATE-2017.
