Business / Data Analyst

Data Entry & Quality Analyst Functions:

Maintained Customer Master Database; checks for duplication, and proper coding, that based-on procedures were followed correctly on all new accounts created.

Identify and re categorized unknown industry customers into specific industries using established criteria and experienced knowledge and to enter Customer Master defaults & research, as well as determine the rightful end market based on research

Validated logic of customer address, title and industry coding and ensures that proper entry standards are followed, correcting records to conform to the standard.

Worked closely with business stakeholders and members of the Data Management Organization (DMO) to support data cleansing efforts, data enrichment and testing cycles

Used Microsoft Access and AS400 query to find records with missing customer information and to perform account validation duties.

Data Analyst Functions:

Write SQL queries using joins, stored procedures and user defined functions to generate reports and identify trends

Create and generate reports through MS-Excel, MS-Access, and SQL using Business Objects interface and direct links to core databases (ODS/EDW)

Work with project stakeholders to elicit, analyze and document business requirements

Update reports based on new requirements and system changes

Perform ad-hoc analysis and translate results into clear and concise reporting

Executes multiple projects and timelines effectively and communicate risks and issues to manager

Business Analyst Functions:

Served as a liaison between the IT department and business process owners

Compiled and analyze data from multiple database systems writing SQL queries and advance excel skills to manipulate and summarize large data sets

Liaison between the supplier and the Portfolio Executive and/or Business Unit Analyst to verify product contract terms

Analyze, investigate, and update the Spend Analysis Report to substantially reduce costs for hospitals and other entities

Provide process improvements and other important information in daily meetings to increase the accuracy of vendor and product information as well as to increase the efficiency of workflow processes across various departments

Collaborate with other departments for projects such as software testing and automating processes
