IT Project Manager

•Worked closely with Application Development, Technical Architecture, Quality Assurance and Technical Support teams to address daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly infrastructure releases. Release Manager - Program Management Office (PMO) – Software/Hardware Implementations

•Effectively formulated integration deployment plans for Worldport hardware/software and related equipment installations allowing PMO to remain on track with planned implementation schedules.

•Led efforts responsible for procurement, placement and deployment of all equipment required to support sorting and IT operations in Worldport facility – equipment deployed consisted on robotics, conveyors, diverters, scanning equipment (both overhead, wireless and handheld devices) – managed $50 Million startup budget required to accomplish. Effort planning, scheduling and deployment duration required approximately 3 years to complete.

•Developed and implemented Operational Readiness (OR) deployment plan which required all resources assigned to an implementation to test installs, updates and procedures in testing environment prior to staging for production release. This reduced resource errors by 50% allowing for reduction in time required for production implementation activities.

•Planned and communicated Worldport release deployment timelines and status reports to Program Management Office, Quality Assurance Testing Lab and other applicable groups providing quick high-level overviews of project status.

•As PMO management effectively facilitated the design/execution of testing and implementation plans for UPS Worldport applications. Conducted post implementation evaluations of existing enterprise systems, allowing management to concentrate on operational concerns.

United Parcel Service (UPS) – Atlanta, GA 1994-1999

Implementation Manager - Supply Chain Solutions

•Directed group of 20+ technical resources responsible for implementing and supporting UPS Supply Chain Warehouse Management Systems and data management solutions and related equipment worldwide.

•Extensive worldwide travel required to lead efforts to design, implement and support 12+ new customer order fulfillment distribution centers. These facilities were vital in positioning UPS as a major player in the lucrative Supply Chain marketplace.
