Senior Interior Designer

Client projects vary in classifications between commercial to high end residential interior design projects. Complete client residence or commercial projects which entail new build homes, new purchase homes or renovations/remodel projects. I have also consulted/supported other design firms/designers or as an independent designer, PM & contractor. Other titles include: Workplace Designer, Space-planner or Office Designer. I have a broad background in construction: estimating, budgeting, cost evaluation, supervisory, trades-contractors relationships, construction phase inspection, scheduling. Exceptional services are offered with: design, multifaceted planning, procured merchandise and installation among other necessary or desired work tasks that fall outside of the interior design umbrella. Some examples:
■ Freelance/Support (Franke Fowler an Interior Design Studio) –Acting as the Consulting Interior Designer & PM decreased the scheduled time frame of a high-end residential two million dollar, 3000 sq. ft. beach front remodel property by 3 months with overseeing: contractors, sub-contractors & as an ID drafted furniture pieces or merchandise for manufacture.
■ Private Client Residence: As the Interior Design person for all design and projects within, on construction, maintenance and concerns associated with a private 6000 square foot residence and property grounds, including the client’s three additional residences outside the state of California. As the Project Manager for this client I decreased the general overall cost by 30% to this client by suppling them with my services such as diagnosing faulty past structural issue and residence repairs. Commercial Apartment Complex: As a PM reduced cost over other larger restoration companies by 20% by being more cost effective and through experienced researcher and problem solving with history restoration where I was able to oversee all Construction, Renovation, Restoration on a ten unit 1920’s building, garages & grounds, selecting all period correct merchandise, source tradespeople and materials while negotiating repair costs.
■ Private High-end Residence: As a PM, reduced cost to client by 15% with coordinating shipping & installation of a 200 square foot greenhouse, two 200 square feet garage/storage buildings and through supervising work such as: hillside excavation, drainage requirements, retaining wall, buildings, electrical and landscape.
■ Project Manager: Andrade Studio Architects: - Oversee construction documentation on a hotel/theme park project in Dubai, Saudi Arabia including: meetings with participating co-companies involved with the project. check their project status, address information changes, plans, and drawings or related to corporate level CEO and project architects to keep project on track. Results were 10%: better time management, 10% reduced hours and paperwork.
■ Kitchen & Bath: designed client’s kitchen and bath areas for either new build homes or renovations/remodels. Work also consisted of sales for cabinetry, sinks, facets and counter-tops, appliances, ancillary products and installations services.
■ Project/Estimator: Undisclosed Millwork/Cabinetry Company: As a PM, manage projects from bid to completion. Serve as a liaison between customer, contractors, engineering & manufacturing. Tasks include: estimating, submitting proposals, creating shop work orders using AutoCAD, managing subcontractors, and ensuring on-time delivery. Estimate project scope, with regards to capacity requirements, materials overview, project requirements, budgets and cost.
