RESPONSIBILITIES:

Shop Floor Operations:

Monitoring the Heat treatment processes like Gas Carburizing, Hardening in Sealed Quench Furnace and pit type furnaces.

Monitoring process parameters, identifying any deviations in process controls & taking corrective and preventive action.

Mentoring subordinates & maintaining cordial relations on the shop floor.

Day to day planning for heat treatment components and co-ordinate with customers. Metallurgy lab Operations:

Planning and Monitoring of Furnace scheduling, periodical reporting on production status of Materials, Inputs for process improvement for minimization of defects.

Prepare Metallurgical samples for evaluation including sectioning, mounting, Belt grinding, polishing and etching.

After heat treatment inspection like case depth, micro phases, core/surface hardness, etc.

Maintaining the Quality system of the Metallurgy Lab. EXPERIENCE GAINED:

Hands on experience on gas fired sealed quench furnace.(Make-Bharat gears –Holcroft- 600 kg).

Hands on experience on electrically heated sealed quench furnace. (Make-Wester works- Degussa).

Hands on experience on Endo gas generator (Make-Wester works).

Good troubleshooting skills.
