To Whom It May Concern:
My name is Felix Patterson and I am currently licensed to practice massage therapy in the states of North Carolina and Ohio. I possess an Associates of Applied Science degree and a certification in Personal Training. I recently relocated to the area and am seeking employment in the massage therapy field.
Prior to becoming a Massage Therapist, my professional experience includes 20 years in the United States Army, security officer, assistant wrestling coach and long distance truck driver. After retiring from the Army, I explored several possible careers, with the exception of coaching wrestling, none of them were fulfilling.
This led me to a final decision of returning to school and pursuing a career that would be fulfilling for me while helping others. I am a former athlete, participating in wrestling, football and track on the high school level. During my 20 year tenure in the United States Army, I participated in wrestling, softball and volleyball. I have always been passionate about the sports of football and wrestling and as my days of competing in these sports came to a close, I realized I wanted to do something to stay engaged and help the young athletes competing now. I can relate to the injuries and conditions that often afflict wrestlers and football players and wanted to do something to help. Reflecting upon this during my quest for a career led me to pursue an education and career in the field of Massage Therapy. As I advance in my career, I am convinced my decision was the right one. Working with athletes, educating them on stretching, exercise and providing deep tissue therapy has been rewarding to the athletes I treat and for me as well.
The skills I have obtained during my college and professional experience afforded me the opportunity to work on the United States Olympic Training Staff in Colorado Springs, Co. Serving the U.S. Olympic Team enhanced my skills and life. I would love to discuss this experience with you further.
Attached you will find a copy of my resume. I look forward to hearing from you in the near future. If there are any questions feel free to contact me via telephone or email.
Sincerely,
Felix Patterson, LMT
