WORK EXPERIENCE

H&F Partnership (Oct 2017 - present)

Head of HR to this newly formed partnership of three primary care trusts to harmonise policies, procedures and contracts. Heading the HR Operations looking for efficiencies and streamlining processes. Move from paper only HR files to an online system allowing managers to access their reports files and automate holiday and sickness recording and producing reports for the Board. Reporting to the new CEO and supporting the Senior Partners who form the board plus the new executive board.

Managed change for the three practices to embrace the new world!

Develop HR support for the 3 practices

Keep up to date with all Employment legislation esp NHS requirements

Ensure all staff are DBS Checked, GPS are on the Performers list, NHS Smartcards arranged, references checked, certificates and ID checked along with all documents for payroll

Responsible for all training including delivering the induction programme.

Introduced Breathe HR – HR IS platform for small organisations – manages holiday, TOIL, payroll information, training details, sickness records etc

HR Audit of all HR files – different practices stored different data – manage the required data for H&F

Manage team of HR administrators in the above.

Redspot HR

Consulting for the provision and guidance in HR services to SMEs and leading organisations. I helped a developer friend to build an HRIS platform for SMEs, at an affordable price, to keep all their HR data accessible as well as allow staff access to a library of documents and training materials. This HR solution (www.redspothr.com) allows SME owners to register - enter their staff data and give access to their managers /staff accordingly. I worked on consultancy projects developed through interest in the Redspot HR platform

EDF Energy, Nov 2014 – Apr 2016 (Fixed Term assignment as an HR Business Partner)

Original 6 month assignment extended to 17 months.

Managed the assessment centre, created the new Smart Metering department and designed in house selection process of new meter installers – saving over £500 per selection (manager team of 27 created and over 100 meter installers put through the assessment).

Established the Technical & Quality Assurance Department to ensure all installers meet the correct standard.

Managed the organisational change of Smart Data Management Department–built strong working relationships with the management team to challenge and move this department into its new structure. Coached on interview selection and creating closed and open pools of staff for vacant roles.

Advised on and moved 50 low level roles to India – this will able the department to grow until 2020 when all meters should be installed and then reduced as efficiencies are made.

Re-wrote corporate handbook adding several policies. Advised management team on various issues.

Presented report to CEO after completing thorough review or all their administrative needs /capabilities.

Presented HR advice on TUPE situation. Reviewed and created new contracts.

Head of HR Operations (Apr 2010 – May 2012)

Presented to the Board my ideas to restructured global offices to save man power.

Implemented new HR Information /Payroll system. After sourcing the best system for ACCA we chose Cascade and had many hours using same through a development version. Project had its funding removed and so we had to go with a lesser option and installed the newest version of their current Sage HRIS system.

Oversaw team of business partners integrating the Asset Servicing department during merger of BNY with the Mellon Corp creating a global organization of 41,000 and advising on UK Employment Law.

Worked alongside Director /management team to create a viable and credible succession plan.

Functioned with a team of BPs and successfully built a new department of 260 staff to specifically assess 400k applications which were not accurately completed.

Prepared responses for members of parliament along with collecting specific data for Prime Minister’s questions.
