Statistical Project

I developed a SAS program to determine if there was a significant difference in survival of infants hospitalized for pneumonia based on their exposure, or lack of exposure to IgA in breast milk. After adjusting for relevant covariates, I determined that infants that had been breast-fed were on average, 50% less likely to hospitalized for pneumonia compared to their non-breast-fed cohorts.

In another project I developed an algorithm in SAS that successfully predicted the winners of the National Football League (NFL) 2008 season.

Using SAS, I derived a prediction equation for mortality from all causes in deaths per 100,000 population as a function of the predictor variables.

I was part of a team that used generalize linear modeling (GLM) in both R and SAS to determined relative impact of various input factors on Website production for new customers relative to the existing customer base.

Decision Analysis Project

I developed an algorithm that determined the quantity of coal to purchase from a collection of mining companies and how it should be allocated to the generating units.

I developed a simple algorithm that was able to determine the average waiting time of the customers at the Burger Dome restaurant.
