Elected President with the task of rebuilding a faltering baseball program that was losing membership due to mismanagement, neglect and competition from rival youth baseball programs. The program grew to be one of the largest youth baseball program in the Southern Maryland area with an average annual membership of 15–21 teams for boys and girls ages 4-18.

Developed an aggressive campaign to foster community support for all youth sports in addition to Little League Baseball.

Coordinated overall program which included screening and staffing of more than 90 volunteer personnel.

Invoked strong training policy for volunteer coaches and made it mandatory for all volunteers to be background checked through local, state and federal clearances. This requirement of all volunteers in addition to coaches being background cleared influenced Little League Inc. to adopt the policy internationally making it mandatory in all countries.
