WORK EXPERIENCE
July 2010 – Present: First US Bank, Vice President, Loan Review Officer, Birmingham, AL - Management of loan review for a 14 location bank with $375 million in outstanding loans. Job responsibilities include post-closing review of all loans within sample selected, analysis of individual lending relationships, analysis of portfolio segments such as HELOC, hospitality loans, and others. Further responsibilities include market analysis where appropriate, industry analysis where appropriate, and site inspections pre-loan closing where appropriate. Other responsibilities include monitoring and reporting monthly on adherence to loan policies and procedure. Additional duties include working with Special Asset Department in the analysis of lending relationships prior to booking into ORE as well as oversight of properties while in ORE. Job requires significant knowledge and understanding of all forms of financial statements, tax returns, cash flow calculations, debt coverage ratios, leverage ratios and other significant financial calculations. Also a member of the Bank’s community Reinvestment Act Committee and Credit Policy Committee, as well as a non-voting member of the Bank’s Loan Committee. Job requires communication skills, both written and oral, ability to interact with employees on all levels, research skills, knowledge of all loan products, and the ability to handle a fast paced environment with multiple deadlines and responsibilities. Also functions as the liaison between regulatory authorities on matters related to the loan portfolio, and OREO, and the Bank in advance of, and during, all regulatory examinations. Reporting directly to the Chief Lending Officer and to the Board of Directors.
March 2008 – June 2009: Shoe Show, Inc., Auditor, Concord, NC - Job responsibilities included inventory control and vendor relationships covering approximately 50 locations in six (6) states. Duties included reconcilement of in-story inventory with inventory levels shown at corporate headquarters. Duties also included maintaining satisfactory relationships with large vendors such as Nike, and others. Required extensive knowledge of inventory programs, time management, schedules, and interaction with store managers. Based out of Jackson, MS, reporting directly to Executive level store location oversight at corporate headquarters.
August 2001 – November 2007: Enterprise Corporation of the Delta (Hope Community Credit Union), Lending Officer, Jackson, MS - Job responsibilities included lending relationships in a three (3) state area. Working in a minority based non-profit environment. Duties included establishing lending relationships, financial statement analysis, collateral evaluation, industry analysis, and loan packaging. Responsible for relationship from introduction to loan closing, where applicable. When applicable, job duties required workout abilities and liquidation of businesses to minimize exposure. Reporting to the Chief Lending Officer and the Loan Committee.
August, 1996 – June, 2001: Eakin & Company, Financial Analyst, Baton Rouge, LA. - Analyst for privately held Investment Banking Group, job responsibilities included general financial oversight of four (4) diverse businesses in five (5) states. Duties consisted of income and expense oversight relative to budget, maintenance of banking relationships, and communications between individual locations and the main office. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
