Monitored the daily activity and health care needs of a 40 bed assisted living/rehab unit. Administer PO narcotics and other medications as needed. Completed treatments per order.

Maintain Nurse schedule for wound care.

Manage the work flow within the clinic while preparing rooms and patients for treatment. Consult with and advise medical providers of proper wound care treatments and protocol. Educate and provide "hands on" training to patients and caregivers for cleansing and caring of wounds. Responsible for IV, IM and PO medication administration within the clinic along with applying dressings, multi layer compression, splinting and braces, cast application and removal, specialty offloading footwear and TCC casting for Charcot Foot and wound care off load. Responsible for obtaining PO numbers from Material Management Coordinator and ordering Apligraf for the department.

+Devised an Apligraf ordering system for Kaiser Permanente saving an estimated $250.00 per unit ordered multiplied by 6-8 units each month per department, now being used throughout Kaiser Permanente Mid Atlantic States.

+Recruited and was a preceptor for two nurses who obtained their WCC Certification, NAWC, and are now providing wound care at various Kaiser Permanente locations. Assist Podiatrist with minor clinical procedures, nail avulsions, biopsies and suture removal. Arrange Hospital Admissions and ED visits for patients as needed. Responsible for ordering and maintaining department medical supplies. Involved in the cleaning and autoclaving of instruments.
