I have worked in chronic disease management, palliative care, hospice as an RN, and on a medical surgical floor at West Penn Hospital. Doing admissions at the hospital, being a Weekend Care Coordinator for hospice, doing transfers from hospital to home, symptom management was completed faster, and working more independently. It was also a source of confidence and fulfillment. Hence my interest as an NP and my strong suit was doing the same, anticipating and solving problems, completing physicals where I could identify the focus of concern and diagnosis. I had an exceptionally good rapport with patients and outcomes. Family concerns were always a part of the criteria for the physical and cognitive issues of my geriatric patients and communication in this was built trust.
Though I feel most at home in a clinical setting and do best there, my weakest area is procedures. I have taken steps to remedy this by attending as many workshops as I can afford. The more practice and knowledge the more confidence.
Recently, I was taking classes online at George Washington University, (statistics, accounting and some Spanish on Corsere). I also took time off to visit my family in Oregon to consider my next steps in this next phase of my work career. These two activities account for the gaps in my work experience after Matrix Medical on my resume
I miss working with patients, and practicing in general. I appreciate the opportunity this position represents and would like to interview for it . Thank you for considering my resume. I look forward to hearing from you at your convenience.
Best Regards,
Margaret Nacey, RN, MSN, ANP-BC
