Topic: Fabrication of semi-automatic dish washing machine.
Description: A semi-automatic dish washing machine was made for the caterers. This machine overcomes the drawback of automatic dish washing machines available in the market. Objectives such as time consumption (10sec per plate), water consumption(0.260litre per plate), and economical cleaning were achieved. The concept consisted of 5cylindrical nylon brushes mounted on shafts and driven by a 12watt motor giving output speed of 8RPM to the gears for power transmission which were connected to the shaft. Trials were carried out after every stage of modifications. Satisfactory cleaning of the dishes was achieved with some plate size limitations and plate material limitations.

Topic: Aqua Silencer for emission controlling and noise reduction.
Description: Aqua silencer makes use of perforated carbon tubes and water placed inside the silencer. This water helps in reduction of sound level as the sound heard under water is less. And the emission gases pass through the distilled water and react forming corresponding mixtures. This reduces the emissions by dissolving the gases. A non return valve is used for preventing the back flow of the water into the engine. The polluted water can be retreated again by various methods. And the pollution is negligible. This concept is not used in the vehicles due to its disadvantages. Basically it is a temporary solution and a DIY concept not something a service provider can provide it to the customers.
