EXPERIENCE

April 2007 – March 2018 Manufacturing Staff Administrator at NAL Alabama Plant

As the executive assistant to the Director of Operations and Plant General Manager (GM), I was responsible for the following items to keep the day to day operation going smoothly;

- Keeper of the plant calendar (meetings, customer visits, audits).

- Plant bulletin board maintenance (owner of Plant KPI's, Plant Hoshin and Organizational Chart).

- Prepared plant overview for customer visits.

- Generated daily, weekly and monthly production reports focused on scrap and downtime (in excel). - Managed plant director’s and plant GM’s calendars, meetings, trips, and filing cabinets.

- Prepared correspondence for the plant general manager.

- Responsible for the promotion and maintenance of Plant/Office 6S program led by the plant GM and vice president of quality.

- Responsible for customer visit communication and preparation (schedule adjustments, conference room preparations, catering orders, material preparations, prepared receptionist).

As the office administrator, I was the point of contact for all employees (handled all general affairs);

- Handled all travel arrangements (domestic and international).

- Responsible for all plant fleet vehicles and engineering office supplies.

- Responsible for handling and tracking of travel cash/check advance transactions.

- Handled all expense reports/reimbursement for the plant.

- Handled Kronos timekeeping for the management and engineering departments.

- Handled petty cash and outside professional service invoices (I was authorized to approve and take care of transactions for petty cash).

- Trained all new hires on the production reporting system called HighJump (operators, team leaders, supervisors, engineers and managers).

- Represented manufacturing departments for new PLEX ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) development and implementation (Production reporting section replacing HighJump).

- Maintained the application of company policy within the plant.

- Organized/scheduled/participated in problem solving initiatives with corporate trainers.

- Troubleshooted all production reporting issues such as data errors and device malfunction.

As the liaison between the local and Japanese staff members, my focus was to ease their communication and help them understand cultural differences;

- Provided translation, proofreading and interpretation (BOD materials, financial reviews, executive meetings, daily production meetings, quality management reviews, design reviews).

- Prepared daily morning meeting minutes in Japanese and distributed it to Japanese staff.

As the assistant to Japanese staff members, I dedicated myself in helping them and their family members settle in to new life style;

- Relocation assistance (from securing a housing to enrolling children to local schools).

- Point of contact for all school/medical/financial matters.

- On call 24/7 to assist with emergencies.

June 2006 – March 2007 Toyota Motor Manufacturing Alabama (TMMAL)

- Served as a full time interpreter/translator during the new launch of Tundra V8 engines.

2002 – May 2006 Freelance Translator, Interpreter, Proofreader

- Management of English School/Translation Office in Japan. (Jan 2003- Apr 2006)

- Translated thousands of documents, including over ten books from English into Japanese published in Japan and the entire website for a pet insurance company from Japanese into English, for major Japanese translation companies, planning companies, manufacturers, publishers, educational organizations, and private customers.

- Quality Control Department: Translated specifications and related documents. Studied for QS 9000 audit and interpreted for auditors and managers from overseas.
