Completed a six month technical training program that blends a full stack JavaScript boot camp with individualized professional development training.
Helped design and build the full stack JavaScript web application “SpotMe” with a 3-member developer team. Project aims to create a community driven parking system where garage and parking spot owners rent their spaces and set their own prices.
Personal role on SpotMe development team involved working on data modeling using Sequelize with Node.js and PostgreSQL to create/migrate models and use pgAdminIII to view the database and manage it. Used Github and Git for version control, to host and update project during development.
Full “SpotMe” app is implemented with Node + Express for backend; PostgreSQL using Sequelize for data modeling; HTML, CSS, JQuery, Handlebars for a responsive front end; perform automated testing with Mocha/Chai; deploy to Linux VPS on Google Cloud Platform.
