PROJECT DETAILS
DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF SOLAR POWERED TEA LEAF CUTTING MACHINE
This project is used in traditional system of medicinal application as well as for consumption.
Tea is manufactured by processing the leaves in the factories which are plucked and graded with various depending on the quality.
Tea leaves harvesting machine will have an important role in improving the tea production by employing the innovative cutting edge technology with blade made of ferrous metal.
Though production rate was increased by the mechanization of tea leaf harvesting, the use of machines caused damage to the tea bushes and was difficult to maintain height.
Increase the production rate by overcoming these challenges; both the pesticide sprayer and the harvester are integrated in a single machine, which does not compromise on crop safety and the production rate.
Tea leaf harvesting machine is more viable, feasible and profitable.
Therefore it is necessary to overcome the problems existing in the tea industry such as shortage of labours, increase in wages, and decrease in production due to improper application of pesticide.
OBJECTIVES
To ensure high harvesting efficiency and increase productivity without compromising on crop safety.
To reduce plucking cost and maintain uniform plucking table.
To provide alternative solution to man power shortage, reduce physical labour and operator exhaustion.
To avoid additional cost and also the usage of fossil fuels.
To avoid loss of crop due to pests attack or improper application of pesticide.
To avoid the health issues caused in laborers while spraying pesticides manually

INTERNSHIP
Industrial training at ACE MICROMATICCompany Bangalore based on CNC Manufacturing.
Computer numerical control (CNC) is the automation of machine tools by means of computers executing pre-programmed sequences of machine control commands.
It is similar to machines that are manually controlled by hand wheels or levers, or mechanically automated by cams alone.
In modern CNC systems, the design of a mechanical part and its manufacturing program is highly automated.
CNC-like systems are now used for any process that can be described as a series of movements and operations.
These include laser cutting, welding, friction stir welding, ultrasonic welding, flame and plasma cutting, bending, spinning, hole-punching, pinning, gluing, fabric cutting, sewing, tape and fiber placement, routing, picking and placing, and sawing.
