Voyager services are present in the Web Services layer developed as part of the Helix platform. The focus of this project is to consolidate all Affinion information using one CRM-servicing platform and replace the following CRM solutions used in international markets.

V2E (Version 2 Enhanced) is a custom developed framework that hosts all the websites of Affinion. It was developed to separate the concerns of presentation and business logic. This was to improve scalability of the application. As a part of change in the database models and framework, the online application is migrated and revamped into Helix framework.

Project Abstract

The scope of the assignment is to upgrade Trade Rebalance application from VB6 to a .NET smart client application. Trade Rebalance application deals with the rebalance process which will be accessed by the Trading Team of Kaspick. The Rebalance process is a rule-based process that analyzes the current portfolio positions against pre-established target positions for each portfolio. The result of this process is a set of trade transactions, subject to minimum trade constraints, that will bring the portfolio into balance with their investment allocations.

Existing VB6 application uses VC++ APIs to perform the trade rebalance process. This VC++ API calls retained the new dot net application. Trade rebalance application also interacts with other vendor applications like AXYS to get the latest market price of the trades.

Highlights of the Trade Rebalance application rewrite project

This application is Automatic letter generation system, which generates insurance claim’s letter; the letter template structure will be stored in Database. After generation of the letter, transmission modes are checked from the database and send to appropriate queue, from there, letter is sending to different transmission modes like fax and print.
