Responsibilities included contractor oversight for conformance to plans and specifications, payment processing, design and change order negotiations, coordination with additional contracts, and liaison to New York State, New York City, Teachers Union, and local community groups.

Assistant Resident Engineer for interim stabilization improvements of a NYC DEP water supply dam in Gilboa, New York. Responsibilities i

ncluded construction oversight for a 60 million dollar multiphase emergency repair of the 85 year old structure while addressing public concerns.

Assistant superintendent for the Great Neck Water Pollution Control District.

Responsibilities included supervision of a unionized labor force and the oversight

of subcontractors for the continuous operation and maintenance of a 3.8 MGD

wastewater treatment plant, 45 miles of gravity sewer and force main piping, and

pump stations. Additional duties included daily interaction with residents, local

industries, utility suppliers and adjacent municipalities to maintain regulatory

compliance.

Project engineer for Nassau County Department of Public Works projects for the waste water treatment facilities, highway and bus maintenance facilities. Responsibilities and evaluation of existing infrastructure, presentation of cost effective rehabilitative options and construction oversight while maintaining operations.

Site Supervisor/Senior Operator for a 10-1/2 acre superfund site in Old Bethpage, New York. Responsibilities included design, construction oversight, and operation and maintenance of 700,000 gallon per day groundwater treatment facility; implementation of a monitoring well program with the Environmental Protection Agency Contract Laboratories Program; oversight and direction of subcontractors for remediation of soils for non hazardous solid waste, asbestos, pcb's, and volatile organics; management of a 2 million dollar annual budget; and reporting to the New York State Department of Conservation, the United States Corp of Engineers, and the United States Environmental Protection Agency.

Site Health and Safety Officer responsible for compliance with the site Health and Safety Plan and regulatory safety requirements, daily site inspections and safety meetings, and development of corporate safety policies and training procedures.

Participated in the coordination of security, traffic control plans, and health and safety training for United States Golf Association employees and law enforcement personnel at the 2002 US Open in Bethpage NY.

Resident Engineer for the remediation of an estimated 2.5 million gallon gasoline spill in East Setauket, New York. Responsibilities included the construction and operation of a pilot and final thermal oxidation plant, pilot fluidized bed reactor, pilot and final air stripper system, pilot off-gas bio-filtration system, and pilot and final air sparging system; design and construction of a catalytic oxidizing system and site recharge basins.

Resident Engineer for the construction and operation of a pilot fluidized bed reactor for the Firemen's Training Center in Nassau County, New York. Responsibilities included design, construction, subcontractor oversight and operation of the pilot plant for the final design of a full scale plant.

Resident Engineer for the cap and closure of hazardous waste landfills in Huntington, New York and Barry County, Michigan. Responsibilities included a field re-design of contract drawings, direct contractor oversight, direction of municipal forces, and interaction with the regulatory agencies.

Project Manager/Resident Engineer for an underground storage tank petroleum spill in Lake Grove, New York.
